How did I get interested in the issue of anti-NATO resistance in Serbia [Yugoslavia]

Couple of days ago, on the 14th anniversary of NATO's bombing of the train on Grdelica gorge, there was an interesting discussion on my friend's Facebook wall revolving around imperialism, NATO, failure of the left, similarities and differences among the cases of Iraq, Afghanistan, Yugoslavia, Libya and Syria, which was triggered by Sukant Chandan's article: "Patrick Cockburn bemoans Libyan disaster, but was very quiet as the disaster was unfolding"
Nato hit an international train, on regular service from Belgrade to Thessaloniki (Greece), in the vicinity of Leskovac. Dozen[No one knows the precise number]  passengers were killed, including a 10 year-old child. More than 30 passengers were wounded. All casualties were civilians.
There were some interesting comments there, some of them published in Sons of Malcolm subsequent post: "Before nATO attack on Libya, Afghanistan: There was Yugoslavia 1999"

This time I would like to share with you one comment in particular that was, in fact, an answer to
Sukant's question:
Chris Natural, how did you get interested in the issue around anti-nato resistance in Serbia/Yugoslavia?

Chris Natural:
How did I get interested? How do any of us get interests in such matters?
For myself, I guess from a lifetime of questioning our motives everywhere. A strong feeling of right and wrong. Which seemed to be in my blood from birth for reasons unknown.

I remember as a nine year old being one of very few speaking out against Thatcher during my junior school vote on the eve of the '79 election. Not because of any encouragement from my folks (at this time we rarely spoke about politics, though they had an interest).

Serbs and Albanians on Kosovo: The truth is out there somewhere

In Serbian language Istina je negde tamo

Dragoljub Simic (left) with Fazlija Uko (right). Serb and Albanian.
Dragoljub Simic (left) with Fazlija Uko (right). Serb and Albanian.

Do you notice how different these two beings are?
No?!?

Here's some help: in the picture is Dragoljub Simic (left) with Fazlija Uko (right). Serb and Albanian.

You still see no difference?
OK.

You don't see it because there is none. Both of them are people, before anything else. The difference you were supposed to notice when someone mentions the Serbs and Albanians came from the outside, it is not domestic.

"I wish we were not separated. Why should we separate, Dragoljub and I, when we grew up together? Now neither side is well.
There were times where you were able to go anywhere you wanted, to stay the night where you want and not be afraid that something will happen to you. Now we are all afraid of everything, " ends his monologue Fazlija.

Report RT Kosovo Serbs clash with NATO forces over roadblocks, 6 injured (VIDEO, PHOTOS)
‘West using Belgrade power vacuum to establish new reality’
Fresh clashes between Serb protesters and peacekeepers were somewhat expected to come amid the current “power vacuum” in Belgrade, political analyst Alexandar Pavic told RT.
RT: The barricades were set up last year, after Kosovan and EU authorities tried to enforce a trade embargo. Is anything being done to resolve this dispute?
AP: Unfortunately, what is being done is more of the same from last year. The NATO forces which are being called peacekeepers are actually trying to use force to force the Kosovo Serbs to accept living in an independent Kosovo, which they won’t accept. And that is the whole root of the problem. Negotiations really are only directed towards that end as far as the Western powers, the EU, the US, are concerned.
But I do want to say that this was something at the beginning of June which was to be expected because there is sort of a power vacuum in Belgrade right now. We’ve just had parliamentary and presidential elections. The new president has only taken office yesterday. But we don’t have a functioning government. We only have a technical government.
So actually what NATO and the EU and the US are doing, they are using the power vacuum in Belgrade to try to establish a new reality on the ground in Kosovo.
The NATO-led contingent had fired rubber bullets or live rounds
and tear gas against inocent protesters on Kosovo
At least four Serbs and two NATO soldiers were injured in a gunfight in Northern Kosovo as NATO Kosovo Force attempted to dismantle Serb roadblocks.
Reports said soldiers from the NATO-led contingent had fired rubber bullets or live rounds and tear gas after rioters threw stones at a roadblock near the town of Zvecan in a Serb-dominated northern area of Kosovo.
Oliver Ivanovic, the official dealing with Kosovo in Serbia's outgoing government, said four Serbs had been injured.
KFOR said two soldiers were wounded in the incident and one of them had been evacuated in stable condition.
“KFOR will not allow the situation to escalate and will use a proportional level of force necessary to maintain a safe and secure environment,” said NATO spokesperson in Kosovo Uwe Nowitzki, as quoted by Reuters. He said that the operation to remove the roadblocks continued.
Several hundred Serbs have reportedly gathered in the village of Rudare to protect barricades, and fighting began when KFOR troops in armored personnel carriers moved in.
A Reuters witness said KFOR troops from Germany and the US received reinforcements after initial clashes and were deployed on hills overlooking Rudare. Several NATO helicopters were also flying over the area.
Dragisa Milovic, the mayor of Zvecan, said KFOR had refused to allow Serb medical personnel to help wounded Serbs.
"A [KFOR] commander told me they have the authority to use deadly force on anyone who throws a stone or uses a weapon," he told Reuters.
Health authorities in the Serb-controlled north of the city of Mitrovica said a number of people also received minor injuries.
Serbians began setting up road blocks in the area last year to prevent the ethnic Albanian government in Kosovo's capital from extending control over the Serb-dominated region.
KFOR said it had started removing roadblocks to "improve freedom of movement" for both its troops and the citizens.
This is not the first incident between Serbs and KFOR soldiers.
At least two Kosovan Serbs and two NATO peacekeepers were injured in a wave of violence in northern Kosovo in November 2011, casting doubts on whether the conflict could be resolved in the near future.
At least 10 people were injured earlier in September, 2011 in clashes at the Jarinje checkpoint in northern Kosovo.

SCANDAL ! Kosovo: Organ trafficking

A private medical clinic in Kosovo called "Medicus" was used to carry out the kidney operations
A private medical clinic in Kosovo  and Metohija, called "Medicus" was used to carry out the kidney operations.
A group of  people, including a former senior health ministry official and a surgeon, have been charged in connection with an international organ trafficking network.

A bloody scenario for the Serbs: Kosovo mafia operates best when there is chaos

Serb mafia members ended in prison, their Albanian cohorts without money
Translation of article published in Kurir

The threats of the Albanian National Army (ANA) are partly motivated by the need to terrorize the Serbs in order to keep them from voting, and on the other hand by the interests of the Albanian mafia who loses hundreds of milions of euros, because of the cutting of the routes used for drugs and human trafficking and the smuggle of consumer goods.

Gracko survivors blame NATO

                             Gracko survivors blame NATO

Introduction by Jared Israel (August, 1999)

The letter below written by residents of Gracko, the Kosovo town where KLA terrorists murdered 14 Serbian farmers on July 23, 1999. KFOR is of course the latest alias for NATO. NATO is in turn very much under the control of the US government. So as the late Mr. Truman said, the buck stops there

We'd love to help but...

The letter notes that Gracko residents repeatedly begged the local British KFOR (that is NATO) forces for protection. KFOR repeatedly declined. Must beg off; previously engaged. Take a rain check?

Italian General: "We were finding bodies of killed Serbs every morning (in Kosovo)

Rome – Mauro Del Vecchio, former General of Italian Army who led the unit of 7,000 soldiers that entered Kosovo in June of 1999 after end of NATO air strikes on Serbia told Italian ‘Panorama’ weekly that during the first three weeks of the mandate ‘reports on the found bodies of killed Serbs and Romas arrived on his table each morning’, but that was a taboo topic they were not allowed to speak about with journalists.

‘The killing continued later but not so frequently. Those that have not fled Kosovo were under permanent risk to be killed or raped. Deserted Serbian houses were leveled to the ground or set on fire. Albanians were attacking the churches and monasteries, too. Their goal
was to erase every trace of the Serbian presence in Kosovo’, Del Vecchio said. Today he is representing the Democratic Party in the Italian Senate.
The ‘Panorama’ weekly published for the first time photographs of Serbian victims made by Italian soldiers in 1999.
‘Nobody was taking Serbian bodies that were left in all possible places. Mothers and wives of abducted Serbs were pleading for their dearest to be found, but the majority of them have never been found, not even those that were dead’, Del Vecchio said.
The Italian weekly reports as a ‘horrifying fact’ that 70 percent of the total number of abducted Kosovo Serbs had disappeared after June 1999 when the war was officially over.
The magazine has also come in possession of photographs that the UNMIK soldiers found in Decani in 2003 but has not published them because they were ‘horrific’. They show the KLA members smiling with a cut off head of a Serbian reservist. Another photograph shows them putting in a bag at least two cut off heads. It is also said that at the time when the photographs were made that was the zone under command of Ramush Haradinaj.

Kosovska Mitrovica – The health condition of injured firemen Marko Kisic and Bratislav Bozovic who sustained life injuries on Friday evening in an explosion while dealing with a fire is still serious and they are in intensive care of the hospital in Kosovska Mitrovica. Kisic is still in a critical condition.

Why the WEST supports KOSOVO’s main industry- ORGAN TRADE?

Why the WEST supports KOSOVO’s main industry- ORGAN TRADE?
Why the WEST supports KOSOVO’s main industry- ORGAN TRADE?
In the wake of international criticism over human rights reports concerning Kosovo province  (‘independent state’ wanna-be) , Dick Marty’s report over Human Organ Trafficking was the most shocking of all. Big fish are involved in this horrible atrocity, such as Kosovo’s Prime Minister Hashim Tachi, a former guerrilla leader. Tachi’s inner circle oversaw a KLA gang that murdered and abducted Serbs to sell their kidneys and other body parts on the black market

His KLA- Kosovo Liberation Army, which started as a terrorist organization, ended up ,in the lawless province of Kosovo, as a regular force, revamped into ROSU- special police. This paramilitary terrorist organization is closely linked to Al Qaeda, through a men such as Al Qadi, CIA agent and close acquaintance and money launderer of Osama Bin Laden (ex-CIA agent himself who worked under the code name ‘Tim Osman’ ).

KLA helped with founding of Al Qaeda training camps in Kosovo, Bosnia and Raska district for a joint fight against Serbs. Other than that, many of the mujahedeens trained there (quiz question- find the link with Hashim Tachi..) were caught in the USA, while committing terrorist attacks.

One of the big names in Organ Trafficking is also Xhavit Haliti, a former head of logistics for the KLA who is now a close ally of the prime minister and a senior parliamentarian in his ruling PDK party

Highly involved in prostitution, weapons and drugs smuggling, black-listed in many countries, this Albanian serves as political and financial adviser to the P.M. Tachi . One of the lesser known facts about Haliti and Tachi - Haliti is "linked" with the grisly murder of Ali Uka- Ali Uka, a reporter in Tirana, who supported the independence movement but criticized it in print, who was brutally disfigured with a bottle and screwdriver in 1997. His roommate at the time was Hashim Thachi.

"The government of Kosovo continues to support the strengthening of the rule of law in Kosovo, and we look forward to the cooperation of our international partners in ensuring that criminality has no place in Kosovo's development", said the Prime Minister Hashim Tachi, who has been strongly backed by NATO powers.
It is hard to believe that head of a "mafia-like" network responsible for smuggling weapons, drugs and human organs during and after the 1998-99 Kosovo war, will be ready to drop his most profitable industry branch – Human Organ trafficking. Having no regular industry, Kosovo province under the Albanian rule, has no other means of survival and funding US Lobbyists for Kosovo’s ‘independence’.

It is widely known in the Balkans that KLA, Albania and Hashim Tachi have been racketeered by Western powers for the NATO and political help they get. One of the most recent examples is Serbian northern province of Vojvodina
Although for no apparent reason (other than to make Serbia as small and weak as possible) western countries, mainly USA, UK, Germany and Hungary are lobbying for Vojvodina’s independence
If you take a closer look, you will find out that Vojvodina province is a vast peaceful and fertile plain, Serbian rich pantry, hence the reason for diplomatic and economic robbery.

KLA’s weapons, drug, and human organ trafficking money, via command of Western powers is laundered through the purchase of  hundreds of thousands of acres in Vojvodina. Most of the Vojvodina territory is bought with KLA’s dirty money through official Croatian companies.
In the same time Monsanto is knocking at the door of the Serbian corrupt Parliament with their GMO food intended for acquired Vojvodina’s farms. As things stand, Serbs obviously can’t expect justice from international community, their organs will be sold to fund Monsanto and other neo-imperialistic needs of western companies, dickering about Kosovo’s ‘independence’ will be used to make more money from drugs, weapons and human trafficking, to further tearing of Serbia.

Up until recently, only Serbs were aware of these terrible crimes, will anyone else except the brave Dick Marty, take an interest in them?
