Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić, Prime Minister Ivica Dačić and First Deputy PM Aleksandar Vučić will continue consultations regarding the status of Kosovo over weekend. The final decision is supposed to be announced after the extraordinary government session on Monday, as B92 reports.

Reject the blackmail by the European Union and choose to defend Kosovo and Metohija within Serbia |
According to News portal Fakti the protesters submitted four requests to the national leadership
* FIRST REQUEST: Return to the framework of the Serbian Constitution and the Resolution 1244, stop making the border with Kosovo and the recognition of the so-called independent Kosovo
* SECOND REQUEST: Reject the blackmail by the European Union and choose to defend Kosovo and Metohija within Serbia
* THIRD REQUEST: Propose the return of the talks on Kosovo's status to the United Nations Security Council
* FOURTH REQUEST: Request the return of the Russian military contingent to Kosovo and Metohija for the safety of Serbian people
Protests in Belgrade will continue until the Government refuses the Kosovo ultimatum |
There were some rumors in today's Internet edition of Kurir saying that Hashim Thaci has raised to the highest level of readiness the members of ROSU, a special unit of the Kosovo Police "who are ready to take action expelling the remaining Serbs from the province, according to intelligence information available to state leaders!" says the inflaming article in Kurir.
I can only assume that its purpose is to scare the people in Kosovo and Metohija, to provide justification and prepare the grounds for possibly unfavorable decision of our government on Monday.
I would like to believe that after 20 years of being subjected to media and political manipulation, there are still people in Serbia who use common sense while filtering the news we are served on everyday basis.
It remains to be seen if the Serbian government will succumb to the pressures from the outside, or listen to the request of the protesters who decided to remain on the streets of Belgrade until the final decision on Monday.
