Germany, Austria Sending Troops to Kosovo and Metohija for Serbia Vote

Germany and Austria said Saturday they are sending some 700 more troops to Kosovo to help prevent unrest in the north of the breakaway province ahead of elections in neighboring Serbia on May 6.
Germany's defense ministry said 550 soldiers would be deployed at the request of the NATO-led KFOR peacekeeping force, while Austria's defense ministry said 150 troops would join the Kosovo Operational Reserve Force.

A bloody scenario for the Serbs: Kosovo mafia operates best when there is chaos

Serb mafia members ended in prison, their Albanian cohorts without money
Translation of article published in Kurir

The threats of the Albanian National Army (ANA) are partly motivated by the need to terrorize the Serbs in order to keep them from voting, and on the other hand by the interests of the Albanian mafia who loses hundreds of milions of euros, because of the cutting of the routes used for drugs and human trafficking and the smuggle of consumer goods.

Mafia in Kosovo is trying to incite another conflict among the Serbs and Albanians

Albanians arming themselves again

Albanians are arming themselves and preparing to send a "message" to Serbian institutions in northern Kosovo according to newspapers in Pristina who quoted the Albanian "Top Channel TV".

As stated, this is how the Albanians have interpreted the message by the Mayor of Mitrovica Avni Kastrati, who ordered them to "defend themselves". The massive rearmament came in the midst of a statement of Hajredin Kuqi, Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, who has announced another action by the special forces (ROSU) in the north of Kosovo province.

Commemoration of 13th anniversary of NATO's aggression against Serbia

Independent, nonparty civic associations – The Belgrade Forum for a World of Equals, The League of Veterans of the People’s Liberation Struggle of Serbia and the Club of Generals and Admirals of Serbia are organizing traditional commemorative activities on the occasion of 13th anniversary of the NATO 1999 aggression against Serbia (FR Yugoslavia).

The aggression has caused over 3.500 deaths, over 10.000 wounded, two thirds of whom were civilians and over 100 billion US dollars economic damage. During 78 days of constant bombings NATO has used missiles with the depleted uranium causing lasting pollution of the soil, water and food and malignant deceases and deaths.

Serbia generously allowed to sit in the backyard of EU without Kosovo?

The decision was made at the meeting of foreign ministers of 27 countries participating in the EU that Serbia will become a candidate for the EU membership. Now the question is whether Serbia joins the ranks with the European Union, and what will happen to Kosovo [Kosovo and Metohija], whose independence was recognized by the majority of the EU members.

A positive decision on granting Serbia the status of a candidate was announced by the French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe. He noted that currently the Balkan country has fulfilled all necessary conditions.

The final decision will be made in the next few days, when the Heads of State and Government gather in Brussels. However, until now there has not been a case when the decision of foreign ministers was cancelled. This means that the government of Serbia probably has nothing to fear. [1]

One Serb kiled, another wounded in an ambush in Kosovo

Aleksandar Putnik (51) from Velika Hoca died in hospital in Prizren from received wounds. He and his 25 year-old son Dobrica were shot in the back around 2:30 last night in a village near Orahovac, Zrze.
His son was wounded in hand and stomach and his state is not life-threatening.

The father was the first that got shot. His son Dobrica was shot in the neck from a hunting rifle, while trying to help him, and according to KIM radio information he got wounded in the arm too.

Dobrica, after being wounded, managed to race in the car, drove a few hundred meters, after which the car flew off the road and overturned.

Mayor of Orahovac Marian Saric said in a statement to KIM Radio that the injured Dobrica, who after being wounded is taken cared for in hospital in Prizren, has lost much blood and has shrapnel all over his body, but that he is out of life danger. According to Saric's words, the body of the murdered Alexander Putnik is sent for the autopsy to Pristina.

"This is a great tragedy. We are living in fear for 12 years. This is another in a series of incidents and attacks that makes it clear that we are not protected, "Saric said.

Kosovo police spokesman for the region of Prizren, Hazir Berisha said that the father and son were shot last night just after midnight when they left the restaurant. He didn't mantion possible motive for the attack.

"It is believed that these people were shot in an ambush as they emerged from the restaurant. The police closed crime scene investigation and raided several locations in the vicinity of the restaurant in Zrze, where the killing and wounding occurred," said Berisha.

According to unofficial statements the Serbs were shot from a 7.62 millimeter weapon, probably made in China. Shots were fired from a moving vehicle.

Press Release of SNC of North Kosovo and Metohija

Serbian National Council of the North of Kosovo and Metohija

PRESS RELEASE

Unprovoked attack against unarmed Serbs at the administrative crossing Jarinje, is a fascist-like  act of American and German members of NATO. Together with EULEX, NATO has a role of the military service to Albanian separatists, as well as being an armed and strong support to the cause of persecuting the remaining Serbs and establishing a criminal state of Albanian terrorists, known American and NATO allies during the 1999 bombing and colaborators of ocupational forces in the WWII.

With fascist coloured homicidal lust, American and German soldiers fired live ammunition not only to participants in peaceful protest at the barricades, but the ambulances with wounded Serbs, as well as the medical staff who came to help the wounded.

NATO has committed crime against Serbs in Jarinje, and the reaction of Serbian state leadership, is to  call the unarmed participants of peaceful protest on the barricades, by order of the West, for "restraint", is rough, unsustainable and very harmful substitution of theses for the Serbs.

Following such unsustainable statement from the President of Serbia, following an armed attack of U.S. and German troops against Serbs in Jarinje, the German government immediately resorted to even more open and rougher substitution of theses and shamelessly announced that "the use of force against the soldiers of KFOR, by Serbian extremists, is not acceptable and that Belgrade must send a clear word to those who are responsible for the outbreak of violence." Belgrade did so, but those "clear words" were wrongly and 'upside-down'  addressed, so that the call for restraint was sent to Serbs, who were victims of violence, instead of American and German soldiers who fired live ammunition at participants in peaceful protest  seriously wounding seven Serbs .

Encouraged by President Tadic's statement, as well as the German government, reacted the European Union, which "condemned the violence against members of the international community in the north," so that the victims of armed violence by the  American and German soldiers were blithely appointed as bullies.

Demolition of barricades and armed attack on Serbs in Jarinje happened only a day after a statement by Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac that "international forces movement should be enabled troughout the whole province," and immediately after an armed attack against the Serbs, the EU said that  "the barricades are restricting freedom of movement and must be removed" . In any case, we see many similarities in the statements of Serbian officials and the West, where many stands of Belgrade serve as an alibi for anti-Serb actions in Kosovo and Metohija.

KFOR shooting live ammo on Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija

Jarinje 13:53

KFOR threw tear gas and stun grenades at the gathered  Serbs in Jarinje. There are injured. KFOR soldiers removed the barricades on the alternative road to Jarinje. Here we see the picture of KFOR soldier provoking by removing the Serbian flag from the barricades in Jarinje.

New clashes occurred after local Serbs threw stones at KFOR toward Macon as a truck was brought in front of the barbed wire that the KFOR troops placed to block the alternative road to central Serbia. KFOR then responded with a lot of tear gas and rubber bullets. ( we'll see about that later...) TANJUG team car was damaged by rubber bullets.

After that KFOR shot at the ambulance and doctors when they came to pick up the injured Serbs. In spite of the shooting, 3 ambulance cars managed to transport 7 injured people ( 6 wounded and 1 with eye problem due to exposition to tear gas) to the Hospital in Kosovska Mitrovica where they were taken care of.

Health condition of seven injured Serbs is still difficult, but according to the doctors in Kosovska Mitrovica their injuries are not life threatening.

The first wounded, who was transported to the hospital was hit by rubber bullets, while other injured have bullet wound, it was announced in the  Kosovska Mitrovica hospital. According to statements of the hospital staff, Aco Radulovic suffered the most serious injuries, he was shot in the stomach and spine. Other than Radulovic, in the clashes with KFOR  Milan Premovic and Stevo Petronijevic were also injured.

Deputy spokesman for KFOR, Kai Gudenoge said that the soldiers were forced to fire rubber bullets on the Serbs in "self defense" ??? Well that really doesn't explain the bullets found on the X-rays of the injured, does it? Why such animosity?! Didn't they like the Serbian hospitality? So we feed them cabbage and home made bread and that's how they repay...

The X-rays clearly show small bore bullets! Evidence that KFOR fired live ammunition!

KIM Radio has learned that one of the injured- Mladen Antonijevic, was wounded when the bullet hit him in the jaw as he tried to bring one of the injured to the ambulance. Antonijevic has a broken jaw and he is in stable condition at Health Center Kosovska Mitrovica. The names of three other injured have not yet been announced.

Director of the Health Centre in Kosovska Mitrovica, Milan Jakovljevic said that up to 14:00  the health department received seven people who were injured earlier today in Jarinje, and hospital appeals to blood donors to donate blood.

Meanwhile, KFOR has expanded its base over the administrative crossing Jarinje and in the afternoon four helicopters arrived with reinforcement soldiers.

"Serbian President is very concerned about the conflict (?? and again?) and the worsening security situation in northern Kosovo. (Hmm, not like he didn't have ample time to deal with those threats...)
He calls on Kosovo Serbs to show the much needed peace and restraint, condemns use of force and calls for calm, "because the preservation of peace and dialogue is the only way to solve the problem."

Tadic added that the international forces are there to defend the unarmed citizens, and not to clash with them."I call on KFOR to the maximum restraint," says the president of Serbia.

Tadic stressed that KFOR troops have to be status neutral and must not use force against citizens, and the Kosovo Serbs to maintain composure and not fall for provocations.

"No problem can not be solved by violence, and bringing people's lives at risk is no contribution to defending our interests. The value of human lives is above all else and must be preserved," Tadic said, as quoted by the Press Service of the President of Serbia. .

The current situation at the crossing Jarinje is peaceful, but tense.
Several dozen people are still gathered near the crossing.
KFOR controls the crossing, and the number of troops on their arrival by helicopter at about 15 pm are no longer increasing. Several dozen people still stands on the asphalt road, on the Ibar highway near the crossing.

It is peaceful  in Leposavić also. Serbs are gathered on the barricade at a place called Vodice where neither KFOR, nor EULEX vehicles are allowed to pass, but only civilian cars.

The atmosphere is very tense and people are very tense.

Details of the new action in northern Kosovo after the 16th September!

We stumbled upon this alarming news, where else but on the page of Facebook Reporter, and we thought it would be wise to inform both the domestic and foreign public about it...

1. Participation of combat helicopters "Apache",
2. Two large boats delivered to transfer KFOR special forces over the Gazivode lake,
3. Main forces would be shifted in direction of Podujevo-Bajgora-Banjska to avoid blockades in Zvecane
4. Heavy equipment to break the blockade was already in the "Notinghil" base
5. Use of force permitted.
80 mercenaries from Albania and Macedonia took positions- Bajgora Svinjare Wet Gora.

These are the details of the new plan for the military-police operation, which is scheduled for 16th, but will be conducted after September the 16th. I managed to get hold of the plan and I have to admit that I am very disturbed by the potential for causing destabilization that this plan has. Knowledge of the details I have provided is vital to those who are to oppose this action. It is a joint action of the KPS, ROSU, KFOR and EULEX.

This is a classic military or combat action and extremely dangerous for the Serbian people.
It is necessary that the public, both domestic and international, become familiar with the details ...

NEWS FROM KOSOVO

Impending economic and humanitarian crisis

Minister of Health in the Serbian Government, Zoran Stankovic, has announced yesterday that new shipment of medicines and medical supplies is to be send to Gracanica and other Serbian enclaves in Kosovo and Metohija, on Monday August the 15th. He told the B92 TV that the hospitals in Gracanica, Strpci, Pruzani and other enclaves would be supplied with all the necessary medical equipment. He also reminded that the Government has already sent one shipment of medicines and medical supplies to Kosovo and Metohija (Kosovo) last week .

Meanwhile, Northern Kosovo Serbs are facing an impending economic and humanitarian crisis due to the lack of basic food and medical supplies. KFOR doesn't allow any vehicle to pass to the Northern part of Kosovo, so the basic supplies didn't arrive yesterday and the embargo on the goods from Serbia lasts for days now. The stores on the north of Kosovo are emptier by the day. Bread, milk, flour, oil and other supplies are missing from the store shelves.

At the same time, many of the employees of the biggest companies in the region are facing unemployment due to embargo.

Slavisa Stanic, General Secretary of the Economic Chamber of Kosovo and Metohija, stated for the newspaper "Politika" that the economy in the north is in danger of the complete collapse, because it is unable to import raw materials or to transport goods to Serbia.

Thousands of people who work in large companies, such as "Trepca", in the Factory "Lola" in Lesak , the facilities in Zubin Potok, and in the factory "Simpo" in Zubin Potok, will remain out of work.

The team for the investigation of Dick Marty's report is ready

Section of the report, which was already distributed to the ambassadors of Security Council members, states that EULEX has completed formation of a special team to deal with investigation of allegations of the Council of Europe special rapporteur, Dick Marty, and that the investigation into the links of former KLA commanders with human organ trafficking is to begin soon .

Quiet night at the barricades

Last night, as all the previous nights since the beggining of the crisis in Northern Kosovo ( Kosovo and Metohia) on the July the 25th, Serbs remained on the barricades in the village Rudare, near Zvecane, while observing all the other roads leading to Brnjak and Jarinje crossings. It was quiet, as much as it is possible since they say the words "suspense" and "tension" are two best words to describe the situation in Northern Kosovo, says the reporter of KiM radio from Kosovska Mitrovica, Sladjana Trifunovic.

Mayors of four municipalities of Northern Kosovo sent a letter to Ban Ki-moon

The Greek newspaper "Proto Thema" reports that the representatives of four municipalities of Northern Kosovo (Kosovo and Metohia) have sent a letter to Secretary-General of UN, Ban Ki-moon, in which they expressed their concerns about the security of Serbian population in this part of Kosovo (Kosovo and Metohia), after the threats of the temporary Kosovo authorities from Pristina, that they would violently integrate the north of Kosovo and bring Albanian policemen and custom officers, after the departure of the KFOR. They stressed the importance of the information they have received about the possible action of KFOR, EULEX and the Kosovo police, that could endanger the stability and the safety of the region, but also the lives of both Kosovo Serbs and the members of KFOR and EULEX. In the same letter, that was also sent to the representatives of UNMIK, EULEX, KFOR and OSCE, the mayors of four municipalities reported that the Commander of KFOR, Erhard Buler's behavior is unprofessional and under the orders of the US Ambassador in Pristina, Christopher Dell.

The Security Council session to be postponed

The Security Council session that was scheduled for August 24th will most likely be postponed due to the two-day visit of Angela Merkel to Belgrade on August 22 and 23, that would prevent the Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic from arriving to UN headquarters in New York in time. "We are currently considering the option of postponing the Security Council Session for Monday August 29th, so that the Minister Jeremic could present the official position of the Serbian authorities on the situation in Kosovo and Metohija" said the Serbian Ambassador in the UN, Fedor Starcevic.

We will have to wait until then for the Ban Ki-moon's report on the crisis in Kosmet, because he had completed his regular report before the recent events took place. Beside the Ban Ki-moon's report and information about the recent events in Kosmet, there is to be discussion,on Serbia's request, that the investigation into allegations of Dick Marty gets a UN mandate.

In the days preceding the outbreak of violence, the United Nations have stated that the situation in the north is relatively peaceful, but tensions are slowly rising, especially because the local Serb leaders have consistently expressed concern about the intentions of the Kosovo authorities to expand their operations in northern Kosovo (Kosovo and Metohia), through the actions of ROSU unit and the traffic police.

Crossed traffic signs

On the traffic sign by the road Skopje-Pristina, at the entrance to the city, someone crossed the names of Belgrade and Pristina in the Serbian language and inscribed over the signpost

"Enver Zimberija street." Enver Zimberi was a member of a special unit ROSU who was killed during the violent try to take over administrative check-point Brnjak-Jarinje.
